Painted Bunting Walk (at CRP) with Marcy Brown Marsden (AT)
Saturday, April 30, 2011     8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Description - Biologist and CRP researcher Marcy Brown Marsden leads a walk to find some of the most brilliant birds of the spring.  The walk will go through the mixed prairie area of the preserve and locate territories of both Painted and Indigo Buntings.  Other birds we may encounter include Black-chinned and Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, White-eyed Vireos, and perhaps some warbler species.

Note - We will drive as a group to the opposite side of the preserve, so on-time arrival is essential.  Bring your binoculars and camera.  Wear sturdy boots or shoes with good ankle support.  Dogs are not permitted on the walk.

More info?  Contact Marcy Brown Marsden at
mebrown@udallas.edu or 214-492-9409.  Please RSVP if you are bringing a group.

Location -
Cedar Ridge Preserve, 7171, Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas  75249.  CRP web site - www.audubondallas.org

Another painted bunting walk on May 7.

Approved AT (2 hours) - JEV 3/8/2011
