Topic - Habitat Restoration Project at the Westside Renewable Energy Facility in Fort Worth

This facility converts methane to electricity from a closed landfill operated by Waste Management. Greta will speak to us on the wildlife habitat restoration project that is also on the site.  A significant part of the 325-acre site is being restored to wetlands and prairie and has been certified by the Wildlife Habitat Council.  It is open to the public on a limited basis: for environmental education, scout overnights, etc

Meetings are open to the public.
