It's time for the State Fair again, and that means that the Fair Park Wildscape Garden that our chapter maintains all year long will be showcased during the State Fair. We need a team of garden workers to do final garden prep on Monday evening, September 19th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. This will involve mainly weeding and whatever trimming is necessary to make it look really good for the State Fair.
Please let me know if you can help that Monday evening so that I may contact you should there be a weather delay.
As information, the State Fair runs from Friday, September 30, through Sunday, October 23 and we will need NTMN volunteers present at the Wildscape every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00 pm to show the garden and tell about Wildscape gardening to State Fair visitors. Fair passes should be available for our volunteers. I will soon be sending out a call for volunteers as soon as I have confirmed the number of passes that will be available for us.
