Location - the United Cooperative Services building, 3309 N. Main, Cleburne 76033.

Ricky Linex and Ken Mayben from the USDA/NRCS will be your trainers*. They are enthusiastic and knowledgeable and their info is timely and critical for us. You will learn what it is you are seeing when you survey a creek or river and how to assess and execute remedial action, if any is possible.

Topics include:
Hydrology erosion and deposition, riparian vegetation for North Central TX, channels, floodplains, water tables, base flow, flood flow, sediment... "Proper Functioning Condition"(PFC) will be explained and
illustrated. The afternoon session is in the field at two east Buffalo Creek sites. Dress accordingly.

*  Riparian resource materials will be provided by the registration fee, as well as the book, Remarkable
Riparian,AND your barbecue lunch

*  THIS WORKSHOP IS LIMITED TO 40 PARTICIPANTS. DEADLINE TO REGISTER is Monday, April 30.

*  RSVP REQUIRED* to this announcement.   First come, first served, according to the receipt of the registration fee.

*  NOTE:* this workshop starts *PROMPTLY at 8:30*, so handle your personal logistics accordingly.
Training provided by the Natural Resources Conservation Service, in cooperation with the Texas Master Naturalists and the Buffalo Creek Association.
