John Bunker Sands Wetland Center hosts a screening of three of the TPWD water resource documentaries in the Texas State of Water series.

This set of documentaries chronicles the diverse water issues and threats facing water resources in Texas and  provides a backdrop for discussion following the screening. Each documentary features stunning images of Texas water resources such as rivers, springs, bays, and estuaries plus interviews with a wide array of experts, and estuaries plus interviews with a wide array of experts, stakeholders and policy makers

June 21: 
Texas: the State of Water examines in depth the present state of water resources in our fast-growing state.

July 19: 
Finding a Balance explores how the growing demand for water will grow dramatically over years to come and weighs the impact that growth will have on the state.  The documentary shows how the steps we take, or don’t take, will impact Texas and its people, wildlife, and economic vitality for future generations.

August 16: 
The State of Flowing Water examines the threats facing Texas’ rivers and streams and what can be done to protect our most precious natural resource.

Directions - Take I-635 or I-20 to Highway 175 South towards Seagoville. Drive past the Seagoville exits then exit on FM 1389 South.  Drive approximately 2 miles to Martin Lane.  Turn left onto Martin Lane and proceed to the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center on the right.
