Chapter Monthly Meeting
Wednesday, October 03 2007, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Presentation:

Brett Johnson, Dallas urban biologist, will present "Mammals of the Blacklands". He will explore how the blackland prairies and associated riparian areas has changed since 1825. As a result of these habitat changes, the suite of mammals found in the area has changed over the years. We'll look at times when the prairie was dominated by bison, the rise of the steel plow, and the advent of urban development. In the end, we'll look at how we got the mammals we see today.

Meet and Greet at 6:30, Meeting and presentation at 7:00.

Location: Texas Cooperative Extension Office, 10056 Marsh Lane, Dallas, TX 75229
