Field Sketching Workshop
From Thursday, October 04 2007
To Friday, October 05 2007
Every day

Field sketches--- simple drawings done while on location--- increase one’s understanding and appreciation of the natural world. Welcome educators, nature lovers, artists, gardeners, journalers, and the curious as we ramble 2,000 acres of prairies, wetlands, and forest at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area. We’ll capture both still subjects (seed pods, leaves, tree shapes, etc.) and moving subjects (birds, bison, insects, etc.) in our sketchbook journals. We work indoors and out as conditions dictate. Designed for the complete beginner without previous art training, all levels welcomed. A guided tour by a knowledgeable guide gets us underway.

Event is Thu-Fri, October 4-5. (10:00 - 3:00).

Approved AT.

REGISTER NOW: The signup deadline is September 15, 2007. There are a limited number of spaces which will be reserved on a first-come, first served basis. You will receive a modest supply list at registration. There are no refunds. The workshop will proceed rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, we will draw inside from a fascinating collection of skulls, skins, nests, pinned butterflies, mounted specimens and more. To register, contact Lisa Cole at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area.
