Pam Daniel, Ellis County Master Gardener, offers a beginning short course in rainwater harvesting at Cedar Valley College.

 

Course description:  Efficient water use is increasingly important to Texas Residents.  Rainwater harvesting is an innovate approach anyone can use to help save money on water bills and save a valuable resource.  It is considered by many conservationist as a viable alternative source of water for both household and landscape usage.  Topics discussed will include roofing materials options, rain barrel assembly, water conservation and health benefits of rain water.

 

A/c Ms Daniel, participants will make and take a rain barrel for home use.

 

Location:  Cedar Valley College in Cedar Hill, TX

 

Cost is $47.
