Irving Tree Survey by Texas Forest Service and Irving Heritage District Neighborhood Association
Monday, July 27, 6:30 pm.
In March, 2009 regional urban forester for the Texas Forest Service, Micah Pace, conducted conducting tree survey instruction and data collection for the City of Irving Heritage District. His work included stratum analysis of relic trees in the Heritage District, and data us being used to work with the city on stronger protection for these trees in the redevelopment of this part of Irving.
Several Master Naturalists and other volunteers participated in the survey. Francesca Funk, of the Green Advisory Committee, and Lorraine Taylor will present the results of the Tree Survey at the Heritage District Neighborhood Association meeting on Monday, July 27, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. at the Community House, 135 S. Jefferson St., Irving. Everyone is invited.
