NTC Monthly Meeting - John DeFillipo, “John Bunker Sands Wetlands Project” - AT

Bio:  John DeFillipo is the Director of the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center.  He is an engaging naturalist with over 14 years of experience blending ecological concepts with business insights.  After receiving his BS in Business Administration in 1992 from Mississippi University for Women, he pursued a career as a naturalist with two nature centers in the southeast; Camp McDowell Environmental Education Center in Alabama and Crow’s Neck Environmental Education Center in Mississippi.  In 2002, John joined the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science as an Outreach Educator where he presented endangered species programs that focused on protecting Mississippi’s diverse ecosystems.  While living in Mississippi, John served as the president of the Mississippi Environmental Education Alliance and was awarded environmental educator of the year in 2008. Most recently, John accepted the Lead Natural Science Educator position with the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science in 2008.  Currently, John is a member of the North Texas Master Naturalist, the Texas Association of Environmental Education, and the Association of Nature Center Administrators.

Meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm
(Eat & Greet at 6:30pm and Meeting at 7:00pm)
