Jim Varnum Dedication at Regional Conference on Sunday, April 9 at 8:15AM
This weekend there will be a dedication of the wildscape and nature trail that we worked on at Briarwood Conference Center, the site of the Regional Conference; it was the focus of our Big Chapter Project in the fall.
If you hadn’t planned to attend the Regional Conference you may still attend the dedication to Jim Varnum at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 9. You are welcome to attend the dedication, but it is too late to register for the Regional Conference. Additional details are in the announcements.
The Regional Conference is in Argyle:

Earth Day Assistance Needed
There are a two announcements that should be emphasized as the projects really need assistance:
1. Dallas Parks and Prairie Restoration Project on Saturday, April 22, falls on Earth Day and needs at least two master naturalists to assist. There will be a group of fifty or more volunteers from a corporate group who will show up to volunteer on Earth Day at Norbuck Park. They will be removing Scabiosa atropupurea (pincushion plant) from the park. See the announcement for more details.
2. The EcoCoppell Earthfest is also on Saturday, April 22 and John Pauley needs two additional master naturalists to help with the mammal trunk in a booth. See his announcement for details. If you live near Coppell this may be a convenient way to get five volunteer hours.
