Texas Master Naturalist Annual Conference

Ride and Room Sharing At the TMN Annual Conference
A number of members would like to attend the meeting and share a ride to Corpus Christi and a room during the conference to reduce their expenses. If you are interested in sharing a room or a ride, contact me and I will facilitate getting people together. Email me at President@ntmn.org. I am not much of a match maker, but I will do what I can to get people sharing.
Junior Master Naturalist Program is Expanding
Jessica Crowley explained in her announcement that there will be two Junior Master Naturalist classes: one will meet in the afternoon and the other in the evening. Chapter members have really enjoyed volunteering for Junior Master Naturalists. See the announcement for details.
Nominations for 2018-2019 Board Positions Now Open
The nominating committee is working through a list of members to fill both board and committee positions. The board changes each year with half the board positions starting a two-year term in January. Committee positions do not have a two-year term, so you may join them at any time during the year.
We will announce the candidates to the chapter at the October meeting and then vote at the November meeting.
Entomology Specialist
Those participating in the entomology specialist may apply for a scholarship with the application attached. Appendix-F-2-Form-of-Scholarship-Application Entomology Course. NTMN will pay $100 of the $200 fees and will expect recipients to do one of the following:
- Write a brief summary of her or his experiences and the knowledge gained in the form of an article for the newsletter and/or website
- Present at an Advance Training opportunity or other event.
- Assist with the development of an Insect Nature Discovery Trunk for the chapter.
Thank you for your participation,
