In order to add events, you must have an authorized role such as Event Editor.
- Hover over “New” in the tool bar at the top of the page, and select “Event”.
- Enter a title.
- Enter the event date and time. (See How to define a recurring event below.)
- It is recommended to enter the location in the “Event Location Details” section and check the Show Google Map box. This way the map will show up on the calendar.
- If the contact information is entered in the “Organizer Contact Info” section, then it will show up in the event header.
- Enter the event description in the big text box.
- Select exactly one category from the “Event Category” box in the right sidebar.
- Click the “Publish” button in the “Publish” box in the right sidebar.
- A “View Event” link will have appeared in the tool bar at the top of the page. Click that to see your new event.
How to define a recurring event
Example: third Saturday of every month.
- In the “Event date and time” box, click “Repeat…”. The recurrence pattern box will pop up.
- Click “Monthly”.
- Select the radio button for “On day of the week”.
- Set the pulldown menus to every 3rd Saturday.
- Optionally set an end date.
- Click the “Apply” button.
