To access the we*******@nt**.org mailbox, go to webmail.1and1.com. Enter “we*******@nt**.org” as the E-Mail Address, and enter the password. This is currently set up as a mailbox instead of a forward because 1and1 technical support would not respond to emails sent from other addresses.
- Delete any spam. This includes an emails asking for money or employment.
- We get copied on email to co*****@nt**.org. Delete any of these emails that are not regarding the website. There is no need to forward as long as it is addressed to co*****@nt**.org.
- We often get copied on user access issues. These can be deleted as long as the email is also addressed to me********@nt**.org. Otherwise forward to membership. If the webmaster needs to assist, the membership committee will let us know.
- We are notified when a member requests a password reset. No action is necessary. Delete these emails. If a member requests help, it can be useful to see if a new password was at least requested. These notification will still be in the trash folder for a while.
- It is the webmaster who approves user photos, because that plugin does not allow an alternate photo approver. Approve any new member photos, then delete email. To approve a photo, follow the link in the email, set the Approval Status to “approved”, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Update button.
- Any bills, whether from 1and1.com or PayPal.com, should be forwarded to tr*******@nt**.org. Keep an eye out for extraneous charges on the 1and1 bill. They keep adding a $5 monthly charge for old PHP support even though we use the latest version of PHP.
- On the members site, we have a quiz plugin that is used for new student homework. The quizzes are managed by the education team. If we start receiving homeworks, it is because a new quiz was not configured with the correct email. Forward the homework to ho******@nt**.org and go ahead and update the quiz.
- Address any website related requests. Anything changes that would significantly alter the look and feel should be requested or approved by the communications officer.
