VMS Update
Updates to the VMS Portal page on our website:
- A new login link. The one with the red/yellow/green bars was not secure. Hackers could steal your VMS ID and password.
- A spreadsheet of all VH and AT activities since the beginning of the year. This is a big help when making entries to VMS.
- How to Decipher your VMS Logbook is a graphic guide to logbook so you can determine your AT and VH hours and the current status of their verification. In addition you will find out how to get reports on you achievements at NTMN..
- Basic Guide to VMS discusses the NTMN version of VMS. Mary Mamantov put this overview together ! so you can understand why AT and VH entries are entered into VMS in the manner that we must follow … hint, it has to do with funding dollars.
Need more help with VMS? Please contact Whitney Wolf on communications@ntmn.org. Let her know what you need.
Project Wild Training
This Saturday, June 10, there will be training on Project Wild, a program developed by Texas Parks and Wildlife to assist educators and folks who present training about the environment. The big idea here is that the activities they have developed are designed for various grade levels, align with the learning objectives set for Texas classrooms, and have been shown to work. We don’t need to redesign the wheel, TPWD has already done that.
There are a few more spots available at North Haven Gardens on Saturday. There is more information about this program in the announcements.
Get more information here: Project Wild Program Guide on TPWD Website
