Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center || 1st Saturday Bird Walk (AT)
Saturday, October 5, 2024 || 8:30am – 9:30am CT
Description: A guided bird walk. It is not uncommon to see different birds each month as birds move about during their breeding and wintering cycles. Our expert guides will help you identify birds not only by sight, but also by sound. Sound is often the first signal of bird location. Introduction to the bird app, Merlin, will also be covered.
We will meet at the Visitor Center and take a 1 hour walk, identifying different species of birds by sight and by ear.
Please bring binoculars (we have some to borrow if needed), comfortable footwear, and dress for the weather.
Event is limited to 20 people. RSVP recommended and donations appreciated. Suggested donation of $10.00, plus processing fee.
Limited to ages 16+
