2725 N. Jim Miller Rd. Dallas, Texas 75217; A few blocks south of Scyene in the parking lot for the softball field.

Important: please register to be advised of last-minute changes.

Volunteer leader, Linda Pelon, discovered a second Comanche lodgepole woods off Lacywood! Aside from liberating those special historic trees, we’re ready to tackle Scyene Overlook and the connector to the J.J. Beeman Trail.

Goals:

• Liberate the newly discovered 2nd eastern red cedar lodgepole woods at the beginning of Lacywood.

• Continue blocking off the eroded trail at the beginning of Lacywood.

• Brainstorm climbing aids on three steep Lacywood trail sections.

If we have time and people power:

• Clear major tree blockage on ascent section of Scyene Overlook.

• Pick up trash in unauthorized access area near Scyene.

• Investigate repairing fence at unauthorized access.

• Trim back connector trail to J.J. Beeman Trail.

Please bring: Water, Snacks (optional), Loppers (if you have), Small trash sacks for litter

Please Wear: Sturdy closed-toe shoes, Leather or garden gloves, Long pants, Long sleeve shirt

Trinity Coalition has graciously provided: 15 loppers, 30 pair of gloves, and 3 Extractigators for easy privet removal.
