Join us for NTMN at the Learning Gardens—a one-day gathering for Master Naturalists to connect, learn, and enjoy time in nature. We’ll co-create the day’s schedule based on the interests and expertise of those who plan to come, whether it’s leading a short hike, sharing a talk on migration, exploring insects, or offering insights into land stewardship.The Learning Gardens offers the perfect backdrop with trails to wander, an outdoor kitchen for shared meals, and both a stage and outdoor classroom for teaching, sharing, and creating.Camping is optional for those who’d like to come on Friday 2/27 or camp on the night of 2/28.
Schedule:
10 am: Learning Gardens tour and hike
11 am: Open
12 pm: Lunch
1 pm – 5pm: Open
The Learning Gardens is located on the back side of a 90-acre farm near Athens, Texas, about an hour east of Dallas. This unique space is an off-grid permaculture site and outdoor learning center created by NTMN member Susie Stillwell. This is a free event open to NTMN members and families.
