Friends of Oak Cliff Parks (FOCP) falls under the governance of the Dallas Parks and Open Spaces project. FOCP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to maintain and restore horticulture in the four historic parks in Oak Cliff, to provide educational and social activities that promote the love of gardening, to advocate for conservation and a greater appreciation of the environment, and to back public policies that support their goals.
North Texas Master Naturalist volunteers assist in park workdays on trail and wildscape maintenance and lead guided hikes.

Kiest Memorial Gardens – 2179 W. Kiest Blvd. Dallas
- Oak Cliff area parks – Friends of Oak Cliff Parks has regular workdays at Kidd Springs Park, Kiest Conservation Area, Kiest Memorial Garden, and Lake Cliff Park. 2024 activities include:
- Nectar/waystation Garden maintenance at all four locations: mulching, weeding, planting, watering, more weeding. Also new bed prep.
- Garden bed work in the formal beds.
- Trail maintenance at the Kiest Conservation Area. Includes: invasive removal, trash pickup, trail fence work, and other maintenance jobs. Added native plants, removed invasives, and hosted guided bird, insect and plant hikes
