Development and installation of a native plant pollinator garden on the fifth-floor balcony, south side of the Dallas Public Library Central Branch building, which serves as a habitat for pollinators and a demonstration garden for outreach and education. In 2022, added a garden at the Renner Frankford Branch.
Volunteers advise and assist with design, installation and maintenance of the garden, as well as participate in education and outreach events. Central Branch NTMN lead – Barbara Cohen. Renner Frankford Branch NTMN lead – Ruth Hewes

2024 Activities – 3 volunteers with 64 hours of service performed (all sites)
- Frankford Renner Branch:
- Winter and spring maintenance included trimming and mulching.
- Updated garden plan.
- Added evergreen plants and mulch to extend seasons of interest: autumn sage, purple skullcap and pigeonberry.
- Maintenance ongoing throughout the year. Weeding, trimming, watering. Plants are more established so needed less water.
- Updated Pollinator Garden Notebook in library. Added photos and resources.
- Plant labels are purchased and ready to install.
- Goals for 2025 include installing plant labels and using garden for programs.
