Scouting-Boy/Girl Scouts Outreach and Education

Project Title:  Scouting-Boy/Girl Scouts Outreach and Education

Description of Project: Dallas and North Texas area councils of scout groups dedicated to building character and life skills in youth.

Volunteers assist scout troops with merit badge activities relating to nature studies, plant and animal identification, and Leave No Trace program for low impact on ecosystems while outdoors.

2024 Activities –   6 volunteers with 60 hours of service performed

  • Taught two conservation related merit badges. Met with scouts on BSA Distinguished Conservation Service Award requirements and project proposals
